“The skills and experience we’ve developed in healthcare are ideal for the creation of high-value, site-specific school designs.”

education
Designing educational facilities has become a significant part of our practice. In 1996, we joined forces with another firm to provide design services for the School District of Greenville County. Our first project, the Armstrong Elementary School campus, was so well received, the District asked us to adapt it for Brushy Creek Elementary.
Since forming this joint venture, we’ve designed more than 1.75 million SF of facilities, totaling more than $145 million in construction costs, for South Carolina schools. We have the experience and skills to define workable phasing strategies that don’t interrupt school calendars, sports seasons, public access and student safety. We’re also experienced with materials that are environmentally friendly, yet robust enough for everyday operation and maintenance.
As in all of our work, we emphasize continuity in relationships with school districts. Once assigned, seasoned project managers handle projects from beginning to end. Our principals stay involved and available, and there is no hand-off to “the hard hats” during construction administration.
Some of our school projects are featured in our Projects section. For details on a specific project, go here or contact us at info@bainc.com .
