We partner with communities and rural hospitals to successfully upgrade, adapt or create new campuses to anticipate the shifting demands and emerging technologies driving the future delivery of the healthcare services. Advances in diagnostic and treatment options have dramatically increased the number of healthcare services that can be provided on an outpatient basis. Consequently, the limited access to capital on-hand and constraints on debt capacity has left many community and rural hospitals struggling to adapt out-dated facilities and infrastructure to meet the demands of these emerging market trends. We intricately understand the constraints to capital investments made within community hospitals and always seek optimal solutions to maximum returns on investment. For more information on how we can help align your facilities for the future healthcare marketplace, contact Trevor Ream, AIA, LEED AP.

landscape design
A growing body of evidence suggests that gardens provide a soothing environment that helps patients and staff alike cope with stress. Different patients need different interactions with landscape designs. Chemotherapy patients, for instance, can’t tolerate smells, so their gardens feature ferns, hostas and other unscented foliage. Our children’s gardens are splashed with color and offer more interactivity. The gardens we design for senior living facilities allow elders to work with plants and soil, a nostalgic activity they find deeply satisfying. Regardless of their intended use, these gardens are designed for simple care and maintenance.
To learn more about our work in landscape design, and how it improves both patient satisfaction and staff productivity, email Michael Nelon, our landscape design specialist.

sustainable design
Sustainable design means thinking ahead and applying design and building methods that not only affect the scope of your project, but the impact. Literally defined - to sustain is to support and keep alive. The metrics of “sustainable architecture” fall under various recognizable organizations, such as the United States Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agencies, Energy Star program, Green Seal®,, and Green Guide for Healthcare. Whatever metric is selected we assist our clients in achieving environments which enhance the well being of occupants, conserve natural resources, and reduce operating costs.
With three LEED APs on staff we know how to implement the strategies that result in green building design, construction, and operation without inflating the bottom line. Contact one of our LEED APs at info@bainc.com for more information.
