Jeff R. Fogle, AIA
Principal
Chief Operating Officer
Jeff joined the firm in 1988. From our point of view, his design and construction administration experience is unsurpassed. He also has an uncanny ability to build consensus with engineers, code officials and owners (he was recently responsible for a regional healthcare institution’s post-construction occupancy coordination).
His work focuses primarily on healthcare, with some light commercial and church design. He received his B.S. and MArch. degrees from Clemson University, including a semester of study in Genoa, Italy. An NCARB certificate holder, he is registered in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. Active in the AIA, Jeff is also Chairman of the Pickens County Library System Foundation.
On smaller projects, he likes to render his own freehand conceptual design and CAD documentation, in addition to managing the day-to-day client contact. One of Jeff’s primary interests is serving as the interface between the owner and general contractor. “There’s a growing tendency to select general contractors on the basis of qualification instead of low bid,” he says. “I like this. It encourages the GC to add value and eliminates that traditionally adversarial relationship.”
