Charles M. Swit, AIA
Principal
Architect/Senior Project Manager
A seventeen-year veteran of the firm, Charlie is one of four architectural principals, managing design and focusing primarily on healthcare. He brings a wide range of experience to his work, including commercial, educational, institutional, sports facility, hotel and residential projects.
Charlie received a B.A. in Fine Arts from Adelphi University and MArch from Clemson. He's a NCARB certificate holder and is registered in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. His father was an architect, so he started drawing at an early age (his colleagues regard his ability to render in freehand with a mixture of awe and envy). In his spare time, Charlie teaches at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Performing Arts and performs design crits at Clemson. He's also a member of AIA Greenville.

Charlie is very outgoing and likeable which compliments the firm's enduring relationship. He thinks the firm's informal, family-oriented environment is ideal for the exchange of ideas, wide-ranging debate and design that combines inspiration and craftsmanship.
Recent projects completed include a Monastery for the Franciscan Order of Poor Clare Nuns in SC, recognized with Silver LEED certification, and a VA Outpatient Clinic and Surgery ICU Facility in NC. New designs on the board include a Wellness Center and Central Energy Plant for the VA Dublin and Asheville respectively.
